Description:

Duna is a very special vintage-inspired ring, which belongs to a limited edition of only three units. 

It is an exclusive piece of jewellery, whose beauty goes beyond what our eyes can see. Its cross-shaped design stands out for the spectacular combination of traceable gems, extracted from responsible and ethical mines, and lab-grown diamonds. Its center is dominated by a pink sapphire from Greenland, accompanied by four amethysts from Brazil.

The ring is made of 18k Fairmined gold from a small-scale mine located in Colombia. This is traceable gold, extracted with the best practices to protect the environment and support the development of the mining community, as certified by the seal of the Alliance for Responsible Mining.

This piece of jewellery is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity which, in addition to expressing the limited edition serial number, contains all the information about the origin and traceability of its materials.

As it is a handmade piece, there may be small differences between the one you receive and the images that appear on our website. Also, being made with natural gemstones, their color may vary slightly.

Handcrafted in our workshop with the following materials:

  • 18k Fairmined gold from the Multiactiva Agrominera Cooperative of Iquira (Colombia).
  • One round cabochon pink sapphire of 6x4 mm from the Greenland Ruby mine, Greenland (0,22 cts).
  • Four round cabochon amethysts from Minas Gerais, Brazil (0,2 cts. total).
  • Two round brilliant-cut lab-grown diamonds of 1,6 mm, two of 1.4 mm and one of 1,2 mm set inside the ring band.

Materials

FAIRMINED GOLD: Gold from responsible mining, whose origin is certified. It guarantees a fair price for the miners and its extraction is carried out under the respect, care and safety of its workers. Best environmental practices are used to obtain it in order to reduce its impact and protect the miners. In addition, its mines are free of child labor and pursue gender equality. The mines and their processes are audited by third parties.

Fairmined gold is an initiative of the Alliance for Responsible Mining; a clear example that it is possible to respect human rights and the environment in small-scale mining.

LAB-GROWN DIAMONDS: Ethical and sustainable diamonds. They are produced with a technology that allows the creation of diamonds identical to mined ones (physically, chemically and optically) without resorting to mining. The only difference between mined and lab-grown diamonds lies in their origin. This option not only considerably reduces the impact on the environment, but also eliminates the risks traditionally associated with its extraction.

The criteria for assessing the quality of lab-grown diamonds are the same as those used to assess mined diamonds, since both share identical qualities.
